Government will provide subsidy for improving animal breeds.

A semen laboratory has been established at Pashulok in Rishikesh. It has produced 261,000 semen straws in one year. Of these, more than 66,000 semen straws have been distributed to livestock farmers in the state. Artificial insemination was performed on over 20,000 cows of indigenous breeds using this semen, resulting in a 95% birth rate of female calves.
