BAIF Development Research Foundation is a charitable organization based in Pune, established in 1967 and engaged in several rural development programs including agriculture, animal husbandry activities for development and improvement of livelihood of farmers. BAIF also produce over 10 million doses of deep-frozen semen from different breeds of cattle and buffaloes and providing Artificial Insemination (AI) services in several states in India.
ST and BAIF has entered into a semen sorting agreement to establish sperm sorting laboratory at the BAIF semen station located at Uruli Kanchan and the laboratory became operational since September 2018.
ST produces superior quality Sex Sorted Semen from all different breeds of cattle such as HF, Jersey, HF-Cross, Jersey-Cross, Gir, Sahiwal, Red Sindhi, Rathi, Tharparkar, Khillar, Gaolao and breeds of buffaloes such as Murrah and Jaffarabadi.
